Working in Reeves

Let's talk a bit about working in Reeve's The Baker. There are several position in the company, most of the people there are sales assistant and sell the different items of the shop, from the bread, through the pasty and buns to the restaurant and coffee items. Then you have the cooks that basically prepare all the food/ sandwiches and meals for the customers, you then have the assistant managers, taking care of either the shop floor or restaurant. You then have the actual manager, who receives his objectives from the head of sales and from the CEO of the company. All those people interact with each others to try and give the best service in the shortest time possible to make the customer happy, because a happy customer will come back. During the internship I helped in several posts to get a good understanding of the company, in other words, to help me see the global picture.

Arriving in Salisbury

On the 10th of May I took the plane from Nantes to Southampton, my destination was Salisbury. After Landing in the Southampton airport I took the train there. I was first surprised by the town, which had many old houses, giving a cosy atmosphere to it, But I had no time to play the tourist just yet, I needed to find the place where I was staying, I was really pleased with the place which is an old house from 15th century. I met the landlady, and my neighbors. Leaving my stuff there I swung by my company to say hello, and meet the people I would be working with, they all were welcoming and friendly, I knew I was going to enjoy it there. Then I started speaking with my neighbours and we got along well, so basically they showed me around town and had me met people. I really enjoy my internship so far.
